Terms & Conditions
Last updated October 31, 2026
Plain version: the estimate is free and not a contract. You approve a written quote before any work starts. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time by email, with no fee and no phone call. AI automations need their monthly fee to keep running, only touch the accounts you connect, and never train anything on your data. There are no free trials that quietly turn into charges, and you'll get a reminder before any renewal or price change.
1. Who these terms are with
These terms cover creowebdev.com and the web design, build, care and AI automation services offered through it by Creo, operated by Clarke Solutions, Inc. Your written quote or service agreement adds the project-specific details, and where it differs from these terms, it wins.
2. Estimates
The estimator gives an honest ballpark, not a binding price. I reply with a written quote, and no work starts until you accept it.
3. Building your site
- You approve the design before I build it, and you approve the finished site before it launches.
- You're responsible for having the rights to the text, logos and photos you give me. I only use stock images whose license allows commercial use.
- I design and build each site myself, and I review and test everything that ships.
4. Ownership
Your content, your business name and your domain always stay yours. Until the build fee is paid, the site's design and code remain Creo's. Once it is paid, you can own the site outright whenever you ask: I register a domain in your name, set the site up on that domain, and hand you the code. From then on the files are yours to take anywhere.
5. Payments, cancellation and refunds
Build fee
- There is no deposit. I start building once you accept the quote, and I make changes along the way as you ask for them.
- The build fee is due when you approve the finished site, before it launches.
- If you cancel before approving the finished site, you have paid nothing, so there is nothing to refund. The unfinished work stays with Creo.
- Once you've approved the finished site and it's launched, the build fee is not refundable. Anything wrong with what I built gets fixed free for 30 days after launch.
Monthly care plans
- Cancel any time by emailing creo.webdev@gmail.com, as easily as you signed up. No reason needed, no fee, and no call or "retention" conversation.
- Cancelling stops the next charge. Your plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for, and partial months aren't refunded.
- No free trials and no surprise renewals. Before any price change, I email you at least 30 days ahead, and you can cancel before it applies. If a plan is ever billed yearly, you'll get a reminder at least 7 days before it renews.
- When you leave a plan, you can take ownership of the site as described in section 4, or I take it down within 30 days. Your content is handed back to you either way.
6. AI automation
This section covers the AI tools I build and run for clients, such as a website assistant, lead follow-up or inbox assistant. Your quote says exactly what yours does, what it connects to and its monthly usage limit.
Fees
- The build fee works like a site's: no deposit, due when you approve the finished automation before it goes live, then 30 days of free fixes.
- The monthly fee is required for as long as the automation runs, because it runs on paid AI services every day. It starts the day the automation goes live.
- It covers the AI usage up to the limit in your quote, monitoring, fixing the automation when a tool it connects to changes, and up to 30 minutes of adjustments each month.
- No surprise overage charges. If your usage keeps going past the limit, I tell you, and nothing about the price changes until you agree to it.
- You can cancel any time by email, the same way as a care plan. The automation keeps running to the end of the month you've paid for, then I switch it off.
Access to your accounts
- You connect your accounts through the provider's own permission screen (for example, Google or Microsoft sign-in). I never ask for your passwords.
- I ask only for the access the automation needs, and I use it only to build, run and fix that automation.
- You can remove the access any time from your account settings. The automation stops when you do.
- When the service ends, I remove my access and delete the stored connection keys within 7 days.
Your data
- The text an automation works on (emails, enquiries, chat messages, and the information you give it to answer from) is sent to an AI provider to be processed. I use providers whose business terms say they do not train their models on that data, and your quote names which one.
- I never sell your data, share it for advertising, use it for any other client or purpose, or use it to train anything.
- Working records the automation keeps, such as saved website chats or a lead log, are kept while the service runs so you can read them. Within 30 days of the service ending, they are handed back to you or deleted, whichever you choose.
- You're responsible for having the right to let the automation handle your customers' messages, for example by saying in your own privacy policy that you use an AI assistant. If I built your site, I can add that wording for you.
AI makes mistakes
- AI can get things wrong, and every automation is built with that in mind. The inbox assistant only drafts, and you decide what gets sent. Lead follow-up sends only wording you've approved. The website assistant answers only from your information, says it's an automated assistant, and hands questions to you when it isn't sure.
- You're responsible for what you approve and send, and for decisions you make from what an automation tells you.
- Don't use an automation for legal, medical, financial or safety advice, or for anything urgent where a missed or wrong message could cause harm.
- Automations depend on outside services (Google, Microsoft, AI providers). If one of them changes or removes something the automation needs, I fix it as part of the monthly where I can. If it can't be fixed, I tell you, and you can cancel without a fee.
7. What I can't promise
I build carefully and test on real devices, but I can't guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads or sales, that an automation's answers are always right, or that third-party services (hosting, domains, email, AI providers) never go down.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Creo's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before it, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
9. Using this site
Don't try to break, overload or scrape the site. Its design, text and code belong to Creo.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Please email first if something's wrong. Most things get sorted out that way.
11. Changes
If these terms change, the version that applies to your project is the one in force when you accepted your quote. Current clients get an email about any change that affects them.
